V. Stiviano, the mistress behind leaked audio tapes further exposing L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling as a dyed-in-the-wool racist [click here if you missed that], is under investigation for trying to extort money from him.
TMZ reports Donald Sterling's wife Shelly has been contacted by the DA in connection with the case.
Before things went sour between them Donald Sterling lavished V. Stiviano with property and gifts totaling more than $3 million.
In an exclusive interview with DuJour Magazine after the scandal broke Donald Sterling is quoted saying,
"I wish I had just paid her off."
