In a sit down with Queen Latifah Toni admits charging her sons Denim,11, and Diezel, 9, for rent and utilities.
Toni explains,
“They pay rent. They get $10 and $12 a week and they pay me. One pays me $1 and the other pays me $2. They have to pay 75 cents for gas and electric, 50 cents for cable and things like that.”
‘It's just so they can understand the value of a dollar and even when you get older, I should say, and leave you have to pay bills. It was a shock to me when I had to pay bills. Like, ‘What do you mean rent?’ So I thought I should instill it in my little boys.”
