Rachel Roy wins injunction against Jones NY preventing the retailer from selling off her brand…
Back in 2008 Jones NY bought a 50% stake in a clothing company co-founded by Rachel Roy and her then husband Damon Dash in 2005.
In March 2014 The Jones Group pulled the plug on The Rachel Roy designer collection and made moves to sell her brand to Bluestar Alliance for $14.6 million.
This week Rachel Roy was granted a preliminary injunction on the sale, allowing Rachel to move forward with her lawsuit to muscle back control her brand.
Reacting to the verdict Rachel says,
"I am pleased with today's ruling and that the court has recognized my rights to creative control and approval over the designs and licenses for my brand. I have worked hard to develop the Rachel Roy brand, and my dream and I are eager to continue our focus on design, development and production."Dame was a little less PC with his response on social media,
