Well he's broke for one thing...
According to The Smoking Gun Wyclef Jean is being sued by his former attorneys for failing to pay over $100k in legal fees.
After making an arrangement to settle the debt at a discounted rate, Wyclef still didn't hold up his end of the bargain so the law firm informed him they were filing suit for the original amount plus interest.
In a written response Wycelf's business manager told the firm to “File it,” and added, “In my most professional verbiage…there ain’t no money.”
