While most influential fashion insiders thought it would never happen, Confidenti@l has learned it was Kardashian’s fiancé, Kanye West, who finagled the deal, despite Wintour’s own words in the issue’s editor’s letter.
We hear the rapper had been buzzing in her ear “for over a year,” whispering sweet nothings about how fashion-forward and influential Kim is. In the end, Wintour said the deal was only going to happen if West posed too.
“While Anna may not approve of Kim’s rise to the top, she certainly can’t deny she has influenced pop culture in a significant way,” one source tells us. “But that happened because of Kanye.”
