Halloween night 2007 Da Brat smashed an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader in the face with a liquor bottle at party held at Jermine's Dupri's Club 72 [click here if you missed that].
Da Brat was eventually convicted of aggravated assault and sentenced to three years in prison.
Now she's about to face a civil suit...
According to the AJC jury selection began yesterday for the civil suit filed against Brat by former Falcons cheerleader Shayla Stevens.
In her suit Shayla claims,
“[she] suffered permanent damage to her face including possible neurological damage, forcing her to relinquish her duties with the Atlanta Falcons and to give up a budding acting career with an appearance on Tyler Perry’s ‘House of Payne’ television show.”Shayla is seeking unspecified damages.
