Jay Z's controversial Barneys collection pulls in over $1 million for the Shawn Carter Foundation...
Back in October Jay Z came under fire for refusing to cut ties with Barneys after they were accused of racially profiling Black shoppers just weeks before Jay Z's limited collection went on sale [click here if you missed that].
After a ton of bad press Barneys pledged the entire profit from the partnership to Jay Z's Sean Carter Foundation plus 10% of all sales from the department store on the first day the collection went on sale.
The Sean Carter Foundation, run by Jay Z's mother, helps underprivileged students attend college.
