Riccardo Tisci has chosen singer Erykah Badu to be the new face of Givenchy’s spring 2014 campaign, passing over his good pal Kim Kardashian.
The soul singer, who is also a pal of the designer, has been unveiled as the new spokesperson as Tisci hails her as “one of the most stylish women” out there.
Tisci, who dressed Kim Kardashian during her pregnancy for the Met Ball, also called the singer an “icon”, although she’s fairly unknown compared to household name Kim Kardashian. It was Badu that served as slight inspiration for the new spring line, with Tisci revealing that he always had the singer in mind.
