According to reports Slim Dunkin was at the studio preparing to shoot a video with Gucci Mane when he got into a fight over candy and was shot in the chest by rapper Young Vito.
Vito was found guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and gun possession charges and sentenced to 25 years in prison this past February.
On Wednesday Slim Dunkin's father filed a wrongful death lawsuit naming Gucci Mane and Young Vito as the defendants seeking unspecified damages.
