In Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC story the Pebbles Reid character kicks Chilli out of TLC because she was messing around with Dallas Austin in the studio.
In a recent interview Pebbles insists she was not the one who wanted Chilli out of TLC and that T-Boz is still lying to Chilli about the truth after all these years...
Pebbles tells Huffing Post's Marc Lamont Hill,
"T-Boz is still sitting there not letting Chilli know [the truth]. I think Chilli genuinely thinks I kicked her out. But that’s not what happened. This is what happened. [Chilli] was doing things in the studio that the girls totally and completely were against based on how they set up rules for the group."
"The bottom line is one day they came to me and said ‘she got to go. We want her out. P we aren’t doing another day with her.' But I’m the type of person who says if something fits do not change it. Lets just try to do probation or try to talk through it, but they totally and completely refused to do it."
"Here’s the bottom line: I’m the leader. Leaders take responsibility for things and sometime you have to take unwarranted hits. So I was the messenger and I had to go take that to [Chilli] because they did not want to say anything to her about it and that’s why to this day T-Boz still has not told her [the truth]."
