Oprah Winfrey opens her wallet wide for a museum of African-American history being built in Washington D.C....
According to reports Oprah Winfrey donated $12 million to the National Museum of African American History and Culture currently under construction on Washington's National Mall. Oprah previously donated $1 million to the project.
The $500 million museum is scheduled to open in 2015.
