The Jackson family hold AEG responsible for hiring Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson after administering him a fatal does of Propofol in 2009 [click here if you missed that].
According to TMZ the $40 billion figure is what the family feel they have lost in future earnings and various other damages.
