Back in 2009 Pras Michel of the Fugees was kidnapped by Somali Pirates [click here if you missed that].
Apparently the entire ordeal was caught on camera but Pras says the footage is being held hostage...
After retuning from Somali Pras hired Marshall Tyler to direct a documentary about his experience but for some reason Marshall is refusing to turn over the footage.
According to TMZ Pras is suing Marshall claiming he put up $70,000 of his own money for the project and he wants his money or the film footage.
A rep for the Marshall tells TMZ,
"Pras is trying to assert ownership on material that Marshall owns the copyright to."A ruling has not been made.
