In a press conference Natina's mother Tamara Goodridge questioned why it took so long to receive a preliminary report from police and is angry that her daughter's address was listed at an extended stay motel,
“It’s not true,” her mother said. “She was in transition, about to move to a new home.”Gwinnett County authorities insist they are doing a thorough investigation and pointed out that information in the preliminary report is subject to change.
Natina was about 12 miles from home when she was fatally struck by a car on Lawrenceville Highway.
She was wearing dark clothing in a poorly lit area and may have been talking on her cell phone according to the preliminary report.
Investigators are still seeking information regarding the accident and toxicology reports are pending.
The driver of the car has not been charged.
The family is considering launching their own investigation.
