Sources tell TMZ Cee Lo met the woman in question last year at the Superbowl and that they have hooked-up, talked and texted each other ever since.
The sources also claim the woman would ask Cee Lo for expensive gifts and ask his friends advice on how she could convince him to buy her expensive things.
The source also insists the couple both willingly took esctasy that night and that NO ONE was unconscious.
The insider believes this all started because word got back to the woman's lover in Houston that she was in LA with Cee Lo so she made up the rape story to cover her back.
