Yesterday news broke that Mike Epps was cast as Richard Pryor in the upcoming Nina Simone bio-pic [click here if you missed that].
Since Richard Pryor's wife Jennifer and Mike Epps had a very nasty, very public falling out over Mike's role in Jennifer's upcoming Richard Pryor bio-pic, Mike called Jennifer to ask her blessing before taking the part.
In a bizarre rant Jennifer tells TMZ she's ok with it, as long as it's not Eddie Murphy,
"Having Eddie Murphy play Richard Pryor would be like having Al Jolson play Malcolm X."
"He would want someone authentic like himself."Eddie Murphy once confided to Spike Lee, "Richard doesn't like me."
