In the recently aired episode Oprah has her first traditional Indian meal and remarks to her hosts,
'I heard some Indian people eat with their hands still.'The gag is that Indian food is traditionally eaten with the hands, so it came off like Oprah was looking down on her hosts and their culture.
In response a popular Indian columnist described Oprah as,
"Myopic, unaware, ignorant and gauche. This was Middle America at its best worst."Burn.
