New York Knick Jason Kidd was not drunk when he wrapped his SUV around a telephone phone last Saturday night he was sleeping, this according to his mother-in-law.
Mother-in-law also insists Jason would NEVER hurt her daughter, Porschela Coleman, and denies rumors that Jason and Porschela were arguing hours before the crash.

News Jason Kidd may be in trouble with the law — but not his mother-in-law.
Denotra Coleman, whose daughter is Kidd’s second wife, had nothing but praise for the NBA star a day after his drunken-driving bust in the Hamptons.
“He was tired,” Coleman told the Daily News. “He’s not a drunk!”
Kidd married Coleman’s actress-model daughter, Porschla, last year and they just had their second child together.
“He’s a wonderful husband. He’s a wonderful father. He’s a wonderful son-in-law,” the mother-in-law said.
She denied reports that Kidd and his wife had an argument after a night of partying — and that’s why he was driving alone when he smashed into a utility pole.
“That is a lie,” the elder Coleman thundered. “My daughter just had a baby.
“Jason doesn’t hurt my daughter. He has never hurt my daughter.”
