3 Life Terms with No Possibility of Parole
William Balfour was denied a new trial and sentenced to 3 life terms with no possibility of parole yesterday in Chicago...
Before his sentencing for the 2008 murders of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew, prosecutors brought in 6 witness to testify to William Balfour's violent nature, including one of William's car jack victims.
The victim described how he chased William down the street in his stocking feet and jumped on the roof of his SUV as William tried to make his getaway. With the owner hanging off the roof of the truck William continued to drive off and eventually got on the Dan Ryan expressway driving at speeds of over 100 miles per hour. The ordeal ended only after a police chase. William was convicted of car jacking and attempted murder and served 7 years in prison. He was on parole from the car jacking case when he committed the Hudson murders.
William Balfour was sentenced to 3 life terms with no possibility for parole plus an addition 120 years for home invasion.
