Producer Big Hutch is suing Eve, Dr. Dre and Ruff Ryders claiming they stole Eve's 1999 smash hit single 'Love is Blind' from him...
Big Hutch tells Hip Hop DX he was hired by Dr. Dre to work with Eve over at Aftermath in 1997 and that's when they created Love is Blind with Truth Hurts on the hook.
Two years after the release of the demo Eve moved from Aftermath to the Ruff Ryders and Love is Blind showed up on her debut album 'Let There Be Eve...Ruff Ryders' First Lady' with Faith Evans on the hook.
Hutch says he went to Aftermath at the time and asked for compensation but was told he didn't have any proof, and he didn't until now.
Hutch, who's been in and out of jail, just went through one of his old storage lockers and found the demo for 'Love is Blind' and now he wants his money.
Hutch says in a statment,
"I'm not trying to take away from what Eve has done, but I was a key in helping Eve create a hit record. "
