Back in February Tyler Perry talked about a 1940s era jazz script he'd written especially for Diana Ross and how he was refusing to shoot the film until Diana agreed to star in it [click here if you missed that].

Tyler tells Essence,
"She's been ignoring me for years. She's the only person that I have dreamed of working with that will not return my phone calls."
"That was it, she never called me again. She said, "No!" And that was it."
