On October 19, 1993 G-Dep shot and killed 32 year old father of three John Henkel outside a Harlem apartment building in a botched robbery. The case had gone unsolved until G-Dep confessed to clear his conscience in 2010.
G-Dep turned down a plea deal that would have given him 15 years in prison. He is facing 25 years to life.
