In 2010 G. Dep walked into a New York city police station and confessed to a 17 year old shooting as part of a substance abuse program [click here if you missed that].
After an investigation G. Dep was charged with murder in a 17 year old unsolved homicide.
G. Dep plead not guilty to the charges insisting investigators had linked him to the wrong case, pointing out that the description he gave and the description of the victim did not match.
G. Dep was convicted of murder on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. He is facing up to 15 years in prison at his sentencing May 8.
