On February 29th, Ja Rule's 36th birthday, Ja called two radio stations to talk about his new music and life behind bars. Too bad jail house interviews are a no-no and after other inmates complained Ja Rule got written up.
Ja Rule's publicist has taken the blame and told officials she set up the phone calls as a surprise for Ja's birthday and is asking that he not be punished for her mistake.
Ja Rule was given a two-year prison sentence in June 2011 after being convicted on weapons charges stemming from a 2007 arrest. The following month Ja Rule was handed an additional 28-month sentence for failing to file tax returns.
