New York Knick Amar’e Stoudemire may be nursing an injured back, but he has a doting nurse by his side. Sources tell us he’s back with Alexis Welch, the mother of his two children. Stoudemire dated singer Ciara last spring and they attended last year’s Costume Institute gala together. But the couple split shortly after. Stoudemire and Welch attended the ESPY Awards together last June, and sources tell us Welch has recently been at Knicks games with their kids. She lives in Florida where she’s friendly with several of the Miami Heat wives, including Adrienne Bosh, married to Chris Bosh, and attended her baby shower at the Coral Gables Country Club Sunday afternoon. Stoudemire suffered a back injury during Saturday’s game that might keep him out for the rest of the regular season. Yesterday, doctors were evaluating his condition. His rep told us, “The Knicks sent him to Miami to get a second opinion on a bulging disk in his back,” adding, “We don’t comment on the personal lives of players.”
