Diddy and Oprah are about to have some company. Magic Johnson announced yesterday that he's launching a 24-hour cable network that will focus on "uplifting the image of African-Americans..."
The network, called Aspire, will be dedicated to delivering enlightening, entertaining and positive programming to African-American families including movies, documentaries, short films, music, comedy, visual and performing arts, and faith and inspirational programs.
Aspire will also celebrate the successes, achievements and accomplishments of the African-American community and create new opportunities for the next generation of African-American visionaries.
Aspire launches summer 2012.
