Only one Nicki Minaj Barbie was created and it's being auctioned for charity...
From NY Daily News
Nicki Minaj is teaming up with Mattell to create her very own, one-of-a-kind Barbie doll to be sold in an auction for charity.
The Minaj-edition Barbie, complete with pink hair, sky-high go-go boots and an enormous tutu-like skirt, is a spitting plastic image of the pop star, whose blond wigs and pink getups have prompted devoted fans to refer to themselves as Barbies.
The one-time doll will be up for grabs Wednesday on CharityBuzz.com and will be featured at the five-day Divine Design event and gala at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, Billboard reports.
Online bidding for the Barbie starts at a whopping $1,000 and will run through Dec. 19.
All proceeds from the sale will go to Project Angel Food, a nonprofit that provides meals for women, men and children affected by HIV/AIDS.
A rep for the toy maker wouldn't confirm whether or not more Minaj-inspired dolls could be expected to hit the shelves, but she did say the Grammy Award-winning artist was a perfect fit for Barbie fans.
"Barbie is obviously a pop culture icon. She's been in the spotlight for over 50 years, and strikes that chord with girls of all ages in terms of being representative of the times," Mattell spokesperson Stefani Yocky told Billboard. "And Nicki is a big part of pop culture and also huge within the fashion industry, as well as a big Barbie fan."
It's not the first time a celebrity has had a Barbie likeness sold off for charity. Other divas-turned-dolls include Carol Channing, Rachel Zoe and Janet Jackson
