Chuck D, front man of iconic rap group 'Public Enemy', just filed a $100 million class action lawsuit against Universal Music Group for back royalties...
Chuck's suit, filed in U.S. District Court in California on November 1, claims Universal stiffed Chuck and other Universal artists out of hundreds of millions of dollars in royalties from digital downloads and ringtones.
A statement regarding the issue from Universal reads,
"This complaint suffers from serious flaws and weaknesses, not the least of which is that the claims asserted are not appropriate for class treatment. We will vigorously defend against it."
