News that Toni Braxton signed with new management begs the question, "what About Tamar's husband Vince...?"
From Billboard
Los Angeles-based entertainment/production company The Collective has signed Grammy Award-winning singer Toni Braxton and up-and-coming singer/songwriter BC Jean for worldwide career management. The announcement follows the company's recent signing of singer/actress and Destiny's Child founding member Kelly Rowland.
A six-time Grammy winner, including best new artist, Braxton stars with her sisters on the WEtv reality series "Braxton Family Values," which has been renewed for a second season. The R&B singer's most recent album was 2010's Pulse. The project, Braxton's fifth top 10 on the Billboard 200 (debuted/peaked at No. 9) and fourth No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, has sold 149,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan. Craig Baumgarten of Santa Monica, Calif.-based Baumgarten Management & Productions, continues to represent Braxton for film and television.
Jean best known for penning the Beyoncé hit "If I Were a Boy," is currently working on her debut pop/rock album for RCA Music Group/Sony Music. Her latest single, "I'll Survive You," follows up last year's single "Just a Guy." Jean stars as well in the Alloy Entertainment ("Gossip Girl," "Pretty Little Liars") web series "Talent" as up-and-coming singer/songwriter Harper.
