Teairra Mari, and before you ask, she used to be on Def Jam. Jay Z signed her and Rihanna around the same time and well, you know what happened next: Rihanna smashed and Teairra got pushed to the side. Teairra did manage to record a song or two after being dropped from Def Jam and she did snag a starring role opposite Bow Wow in The Lottery Ticket, but she's most famous for trashing Jay Z after she got dropped...
At the time Teairra told King Magazine
“I was calling Jay my father. I love you like my father because my father is not in my life. Jay didn’t even call and tell me [I was dropped]. I was hurt.”Anywaydoe, Teairra got arrested in Beverly Hills over the weekend for drunk driving. But not only that, they say she was fighting with the arresting officers at central booking and one of them even got cut tussling with her.
Teairra was booked on DUI and assault on a officer charges and held on $50,000 bond.
Shortly after she was released Tearirra released the following statement,
Let me start by saying that this is a very embarrassing moment for me, I know that I've disappointed so many people including myself. I take full responsibility for my actions, but I absolutely did NOT "attack" a Beverly Hills police officer and I'm very confused by those allegations. I did have drinks and I misjudged the situation by driving myself home. I want to apologize to those that I endangered that night and also to the people that I've let down. I hope that this situation can save someone from making the dumb decision to drink and drive!
