Ja Rule is expected to be sentenced to two years in prison Wednesday and immediately hauled off to Rikers Island.
The rapper, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, pleaded guilty in December to having a loaded .40-caliber pistol in his Maybach as he left an upper West Side concert in 2007.
The 35-year-old Grammy nominee's prison term was postponed to give him time to settle a $1.1 million federal tax fraud case - and put out a new album.
A father of three, Ja Rule was busted the same night as rap sensation Lil Wayne - who has already served a one-year sentence on similar charges.
Ja Rule will eventually be transferred to an upstate prison.
