Beyonce performed 'Who Run the World (Girls)' on the Billboard Music Awards last night after she was honored by her parents, her sister, Stevie Wonder, Babyface, Lady Gaga, Bono, Barbara Streisand and First Lady Michelle Obama...
I'm trying to figure out what was supposed to be so great about that performance. It was just a rehash of any other performance by Queen Tacky Yaki. As usual she is wearing a one-piece outfit, dancing like she is having a seizure, swinging that dry ass Yaki to and fro & singing about some asinine shit. Basically same shit, different album title.
She looked a little awkward doing the African inspired dance, alone in the beginning of the performance...almost like a 4 year old at an adult party/hangout, in the hood with everyone shouting "go b b, go b b." With this kind of music she needs to always dance with dancers. I feel bad for her,her arms were not in sync with her body in the beginning of the dance.Talk about looking stupid...lol
Seeing as how she didn't add a few of those difficult moves like in the video I'm starting to believe there was a body double and she try to use the big choker to hide the digital input of her head onto the body, and can a real hair stylist do her hair, she makes too much money and probably pays way too much for the hair for her hair to look jacked all the time. Aside from these issues the performance was ok.

The 2 biggest things people say about Beyonce I don't agree with are 1) that she is sluty, because I think (FOR THE MOST PART) she is sexy not slutty like tonight's performance and 2.) that she bleaches her skin. I know for a fact, that if you are not chocolate skinned (like Kelly Roland) or blue black (like Tyrese) and you move from a predominantly warm climate (Houston in her case, So Calin mine) to a climate that see's virtually no sun 8 mo out of the year (NY in her case, , Oregon in mine) it's only obvious you are going to get much lighter and that is what I think her.

Those visuals used in her performance were all done before. Janet's "Feedback" and MJs performance in "This is it". That was the first thing to come to mind when I saw the graphics. Kind disturbed by all the illumaniti symbols and all. Otherwise, she did nothing new. Same Naomi Campbell strut, scantily clad, weave tossin' booty shakin' with over an additional 100 dancers. The song is still crap though. I give her credit for continuing to promote this song even though it is a mess.

That was the most contrived event I have ever seen in my life. And I won't even say anything bad about this child because she gets enough harsh critic already. But coming from a real and honest perspective, that was set-up and contrived. When I watch other award shows from the past, like when they were honoring Michael Jackson, with the many many awards he has received, you can see the passion in people's voice. You see that they were sincere and they had so much love and respect for Michael. But these testimonials from these other others just looked like they were reading from a script. You would think someone receiving the "Artist (?) of the Milennium Award (after just 11 years), that would certainly be one of the highlights worth mentioning.
I am highly ashamed and appalled that our first lady Michelle Obama would cosign Beyonce and praise her. Considering she has 2 young daughters, I assumed like all other mothers she would be disgusted at a woman whose entire career consists of being naked on stage doing strip routines and would shelter her daughters from this.

I can't speak for anyone else but here are my reasons for not liking Bey as an "artist":
1. Stealing or taking more credit than she's due for music: There have been several songs that she had little production involvement in but has had her name stamped on it or tried to get her name bumped up so she can win an award over someone else who did more work.
2. Not being creative or claiming others hard work as creative: Going on and on about "doing something new" for her Rule The World song when the beat is old from another song nothing creative about that. Stealing others clothing designs and releasing them as her own. Many of her videos or performances have stolen major aspects from other artists. One of her VMA performances was a ripped pieces of a MJ routine. MJ didn't create the Moonwalk but he didn't steal other artists ideas.
3. Being 24/7 fake: I understand that celebs need to keep up their appearance 24/7 in case the paps might take a pic. That doesn't mean you dress up like a run way model with 6 inch earrings and lace front just to sit by the pool.
4. Trying to ruin others careers (or being complicit in it). There are rumors that Matt paid DJ's not to play certain female artists songs. Also trying to block certain artists from performing on the same award show as her. Releasing "leaked" music the same day her former band mates release their new music.
5. Won't go away: There is a point where an artist is overexposed and Bey past that point several years ago. I think her people are trying to cross her over so she's being flooded over in the black community in the hopes that the white mass community will give her a chance.
6. Talented but overrated: Bey can sing and dance I give her that. She's no Whitney singer or Ciara dancer. I'd say Bey is average in both but 10x better than Rhianna. She's a horrible actor and I wish people would stop offering her roles.
7. The Bleaching: It's possible that she may not be bleaching. I really didn't know either way but started to believe she was after pictures came out of her walking outside in good weather under an umbrella. People who bleach should avoid sun exposure to avoid blistering and other skin damage. A lot of celebs are doing this now on the low. It's really sad.
Besides Michelle there are not that many role models that youths look up to today. Most look up to the Kardashians, Basketball Wives, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna as role models. So if I would have to choose it would be Beyonce. I prefer sexy & independent over slutty and gold digging any day.

From what I caught a glimpse on the internet, everyone else was doing too much too. The show was not all that overall. It was something created to give a Beyonce "her award" for her to retire in her last hoorah. Research Billboard award when they invent an award, usually that person time is up.
However to me overall Beyonce's performance was really nothing new. This has been done with Janet, MJ and Mary J. Blige. Go research. She stand on stage in front of a green screen with effects that been done before. She just wore a slut outfit and weave wag to make it look different.
2. Why does Beyonce have to dress "half naked" to seek attention on stage? WHY?

I can't speak for anyone else but here are my reasons for not liking Bey as an "artist":
1. Stealing or taking more credit than she's due for music: There have been several songs that she had little production involvement in but has had her name stamped on it or tried to get her name bumped up so she can win an award over someone else who did more work.
2. Not being creative or claiming others hard work as creative: Going on and on about "doing something new" for her Rule The World song when the beat is old from another song nothing creative about that. Stealing others clothing designs and releasing them as her own. Many of her videos or performances have stolen major aspects from other artists. One of her VMA performances was a ripped pieces of a MJ routine. MJ didn't create the Moonwalk but he didn't steal other artists ideas.
3. Being 24/7 fake: I understand that celebs need to keep up their appearance 24/7 in case the paps might take a pic. That doesn't mean you dress up like a run way model with 6 inch earrings and lace front just to sit by the pool.
4. Trying to ruin others careers (or being complicit in it). There are rumors that Matt paid DJ's not to play certain female artists songs. Also trying to block certain artists from performing on the same award show as her. Releasing "leaked" music the same day her former band mates release their new music.
5. Won't go away: There is a point where an artist is overexposed and Bey past that point several years ago. I think her people are trying to cross her over so she's being flooded over in the black community in the hopes that the white mass community will give her a chance.
6. Talented but overrated: Bey can sing and dance I give her that. She's no Whitney singer or Ciara dancer. I'd say Bey is average in both but 10x better than Rhianna. She's a horrible actor and I wish people would stop offering her roles.

Besides Michelle there are not that many role models that youths look up to today. Most look up to the Kardashians, Basketball Wives, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna as role models. So if I would have to choose it would be Beyonce. I prefer sexy & independent over slutty and gold digging any day.
