Charles Hamilton, who was socked in the face by Mary J. Blige's stepdaughter via Kendu Issacs [click here and here if you missed that] has been on a steady downward spiral ever since.
Before he got decked, Charles had a lot of underground buzz and had gotten signed to a major record label.
After his sucker punch went viral, Charles largely dropped out of sight until he got caught up in a thing after he tried to name Slum Village producer/rapper J. Dilla as the executive producer on his upcoming cd.
The problem was J. Dilla had died 3 years prior and Charles hadn't cleared the credit with anybody. He was dropped from the label shortly after that. Then rumors swirled that Charles was homeless, crazy and had checked himself into a mental hospital.
Now comes word that he's in jail for assaulting a police officer. Apparently Charlie had been causing trouble at several bars and when police were called he resisted arrest and struck an officer in the face. Last anyone heard Charles was being held in Cleveland, OH on $25,000.00 bond.
