Rick Ross, who's been known to tell a lie or two or three or four, told The Source Magazine that he left The Soul Train Music Awards because of production issues, not because 'B.M.F' lost Hip Hop Song of Year to Rihanna and Eminem and 'Love the Way You Lie'.
Last month during the taping of The Soul Train Music Awards rumors flew that a disgusted Rick Ross had stormed out of the awards show, ahead of a scheduled performance with Chrisette Michelle, after losing Hip Hop song of the year. Chrisette Michelle even fired off an angry blog post about it [click here if you missed that].
N-E-Way, in the current issue of The Source Rick says the rumors are not true.
"I been going to award shows for a long time and I've never had a problem with who won. I'm happy I'm recognized. We were in the trailer, going over these particular [performance] issues [with the show's producers]. Out of respect, we came back out there to give them a reaction to the nomination. They gave the award to Eminem. I applauded. Big record. That wasn't the issue. Like I said, the things we requested weren't met."
