They say the new producers on The Wendy Williams Show have asked Wendy to tone it down a bit.
The producers want to appeal more to Middle American Mom [Read: the audience soon to be left hanging by Oprah] and have instructed your girl to be a little less "Wendy".

I don't think this will work out well for the producers of her show.
If they ask her that then she needs new producers. Her original audience will not be back and there's no gaurantee that middle america will even like her toned down. Secretly I think middle america likes her just fine. Her audience seems pretty diverse.
Her outlandish style has gotten her this far, so there is no need for her to change for the masses.

Wendell is popular because of who Wendell is: loud, outrageous, messy and all over the place. Basically Jerry Springer/Maury Povich lite, but Black, non-Jewish, and not paternity test/shameless middle Americans running rampant everywhere.

i know for a fact this is true cause on her show people were writing in on why she changed the way she dressed on the promo shows to how she dresses now and she admitted on tv that the network told her to tone it down so i always believed more changes were to come...her show sucks anyway she's not the same wendy from radio she faker now

Since I never got the chance to hear the Wendy on radio I only heard how good she was. As far as her TV show she sucks and trust I have given it a try more than once. Most of the so call news is old and she's not a bold as she use to be. Rupaul could do the same thing only better.

I'm from NYC and has been listening to her since day one. She can tone it down because she's s professional. Knowing a bit about marketing, I don't know if this is going to work. Wendy has always been over the top. Asking Wendy to tone it down is like taking the "W" out of Wendy. Good luck with that.
Go back to radio and you can dress however you want. On live TV you have to do what the producer's want you to do it's show business. Love it or leave it.
