Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards was arrested in Manhattan for drunk driving early Tuesday.
Reports say cops initially pulled over the Jets' No. 17 at the corner of 34th Street and 12th Avenue at 5:15 a.m. for driving erratically and having overly tinted windows on his Range Rover.
But officers smelled alcohol and asked Edwards to take a Breathalyzer test. He blew a 0.16 -- twice New York State's legal limit of 0.08.
"We are very disappointed in Braylon's actions this morning. The Player Protect program is in place for our organization to prevent this situation. Braylon is aware of this program and showed poor judgment," Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum said in a statement.
"We are reviewing the information with the league and will impose the appropriate disciplinary measures."
At this hour, 27-year-old Edwards is in police custody and is set to be arraignment later Tuesday. The passenger in Edwards' vehicle was not charged.
