Buju got caught on surveillance video trying to buy 5 kilos of cocaine from undercover officers back in December [click here if you missed that].
It was looking pretty bad for Bu in court the other day. For one thing his cohorts [one a long time friend] turned and snitched on him, plus the prosecution played tapes of the transaction and you could clearly hear Banton describing the coke as "fish scale" and there was video of him tasting the coke with a knife.
A little back story here: Bu met one of his co-conspirators on an 8 hour flight to Madrid and the subject turned to drug dealing. Too bad Bu didn't know he was talking to a paid Fed informant who immediately snitched on him as soon as he got off the plane. The same dude is the one who set up the deal and even financed it. That's right. BuJu did not finance the drug deal and his defence is that he was coerced into the deal.
BuJu is trying to get out on bond while awaiting his new trial. He faces life in prison if convicted.
