Wyclef may not be able to run for President of Haiti after all.
There are six requirements a candidate must possess to be able to run for President of Haiti and unfortunately Wyclef is missing one: Residential status. Among other things, you have to have lived in Haiti for 5 consecutive years to to eligible to run for President. Right now 'Clef has a team of lawyers poring the Haitian constitution looking for a loophole. The decision whether or not he can run will be announced tomorrow August 17.
Political pundits are predicting chaos if Wyclef is ruled ineligible.
