Mary J. Blige lied about being accepted into Howard University.
Mary J. Blige was recently awarded a GED. [not sure if she earned it or if it's honorary] and on stage at the Essence Music Festival last week, she announced to the crowd that she'd gotten her GED. and had been accepted into Howard University. But after media outlets reached out to Howard to check the validity of Mary's claims, turns out the bitch was lying.
Howard administrators tried to play it off by releasing this statement:
"We encourage Ms. Blige to continue her studies and welcome her consideration of Howard University in the future. We are happy to work with Ms. Blige on completing the formal process for admission."
Mary, though, is sticking to the lie.
