She might be if she doesn't sign over half her royalties to ex-husband Walter Bridgeforth. Yesterday a deadline came and went for Anita Baker to sign a document giving Walter his half of the royalties awarded in their 2007 divorce settlement.
So far Anita has refused to sign. Yesterday she told the judge she hadn't signed because she'd been crying for two days straight and hadn't read the document. Before that, she blamed the record company, claiming they hadn't been paying royalties and that the judge should be going after the label and not her. She is expected in court at 11 am today.
