Tough luck Destiny's Child Fans: There was almost a DC reunion but the case got settled out of court. All three Destiny's Child members were expected to testify in a Chicago courtroom next week in a copy-write infringement suit filed by songwriter Rickey Allen. Rick filed suit against DC back in 2006 charging they'd ripped him off for their 2004 hit Cater 2 U, which credited Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams as its writers.
Word around the 'Net is Kelly Rowland, who only recently dropped Mathew Knowles as her manager and hasn't been seen with Beyonce in years, was pretty pissed off about being hauled into court and was blaming Mathew Knowles' shady business practices for her involvement in the case.
The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.
