my bm had two kids, one was two the other was still in diapers when i met her. we were together for a little over 8 years and their biological father never saw them the whole time. i wasn't ever the type to try and stop them from seeing them, he just never came around or never made arrangements for them to come stay for awhile. i taught them how to read, write, play sports, etc... even though me and my bm ain't been together for about 2 1/2 years they still call me daddy and the only person that disputes that is their mom just to spite me. they still don't see dude. you can ask them who their father is and they'll say me with no hesitation and i'll be damned if somebody that the momma used to fuck with back in the day thinks he's more of their father than i am.

I understand what most of you are saying in regards to it being the one that raised you bio or not, but in my case knowing there is a man out there that did not want me leaves a huge whole in my heart even though my adopted dad was good it wasnt enough.

In the South, a lot of ppl believe that a baby can be "fed" and start to look (physically) like the person feeding them, even if that person is not the biological. I used to thank God everyday that my daddy stuck around cause my step-father...? No ma'am.
why can't they both be the Father. In a world, filled with one parent families; one would think it's great to have TWO. If Eddie is paying, you can't deny he isn't being a father. Society and the Courts have deemed it that way. I give him props, cause clearly he and the Moms weren't met to be together.
The real father is the person that was involved in the nurturing, development and welfare of that child. Eddie Murphy has done none of that and acts like he don't wanna have nothing to do with his daughter. Before she was even born, he stated it wasn't his. So sad that 1 day she'll grow up and read all his nasty effin comments about her. The least he could do is acknowledge her so she grows up to know both biological parents loved her. I think for some reason there is hatred between Eddie and Mel, and he feels it's best for Angel that he doesn't come around and subject the baby to the venom he and the mother share, he pays child support and I guess he's waiting until Angel grows up to have a relationship with her **still giving Eddie the side eye but hoping for the best (since he at least pays)**

I am a man and would never denied a child of mine, regardless if I am feuding with the mother. When a child is rejected by either parents it is a grave emotional scar that few overcome.

Real talk. Just because the parents don't get along does not give you a pass to abandon your kids or your financial responsibility. Kids don't ask to be born. I don't care how much you hate the other person you had a kid with, it is not about you. Get over it! What makes a parent is the one who raised you. It does not mean that the real parent is suppose to be left out there to live a life like he has no kids. My kids got a extra dad when I remarried. They may be closer to my current husband but that is only because they lived with us, it does not mean they love their father any less. Maybe the babies hair was cut due to gum. No mother in her right mind would cut a baby girls hair. Mel B loves her weave/hair to much to have her baby look like this. I will agree that white mothers don't know what the hell to do with "nappy" hair. Mel's baby had enough hair to section off and put it in many ponytails with knocker balls and barettes or ribbons or even braid and add beads. Mel has a older daugher and I am sure by now someone taught her how to do her hair. I think white moms should take a hair styling class on how to do black hair.
