While Prime Minister Hubby thought this was a great idea, native Turk and Caiconians were royally pissed off because they felt the tourism board should've at least chosen a model born in the T&C. Adding insult to injury, the Prime Minister was rumored to have paid his Not From Turks and Caicos Wife upwards of $100 thousand dollars to pose for said ads. Now, come to find out, magazines in which the ads were placed didn't even get paid. Conde Nast Publications is currently suing Turks & Caicos and its tourist board for failing to pay over $1 million for the ad campaign featuring Not From Turks & Caicos Wife that ran in its magazines in 2007 and 2008.
