Eddy Curry Takes Custody Of His Son
after a bitter battle with the child's grandmother. NY Knick Eddy Curry's three year old son Noah had been living with his maternal grandmother, Yolan Henry, ever since he was found blood splattered but unharmed in the Chicago condo where his mother and 10 month old sister were murdered. Noah's Nanna initially defied court orders to turn the child over saying, "He [Noah] has seen his father twice his entire life ..." and "I feel that it's unfair to subject this child to a turnover when he doesn't know the parties he is being turned over to. We are forced to be fugitives."and also that, "Noah clings to me every moment of the day and cries when I am not in his sight. I pray that God gives him the strength to cope with this separation from his family ... Ultimately, we would like to jointly raise Noah with the Curry family." Yolan Henry also says Eddy stopped child support payments for Noah the day after his mother was found dead and that she had been caring for the boy herself and that she never asked Eddy for a dime. Mrs. Henry had to be threatened with contempt of court charges and jail before she would turn the child over to his father. She is planning an appeal.
