Ok, so Beyonce's new song 'If I Were A Boy' was written by this chick named BC Jean and word around the 'Net is Mathew Knowles was trying hard to strong arm BC out of her publishing rights so he could give Beyonce the writing credit. BC wrote the song and recorded it, but after her record deal fell apart, unbeknownst to her, her producer shopped the songs around. The next time BC hears 'If I Were A Boy', it's well on it's way to becoming a huge hit, only it's being sung by Beyonce.
