Convicted tax felon, Wesley Snipes, filed a request in federal court to get his passport back and for permission to leave the country...
Wesley wants to go to London to sit in on the editing process for his new horror flick Gallowwalker, and then to Bangkok to film the action thriller Chasing the Dragon, while he's out on bail pending his appeal on failure to file tax return charges, arguing it could effect his ability to pay restitution if he is not allowed to go.
I would say his timing is rather interesting, considering last week a U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesman demanded his bail be revoked ranting, “He’s been convicted by a jury. He has been sentenced to three years and he should be in custody.” That, coupled the fact that they had a helluva time getting his butt back from Africa when all this tax business first went down, I'm not too sure if this is going end in Wesley's favor... but good luck with that!
