Usher Denies Firing His Mother
Usher's last album Here I Stand sold 433,000 units in its first week in stores and will debut as the No. 1 album in the country next week.
And speaking of Ush, in this month's Vibe [I think] Usher tells the mag he never fired his mom Jonetta Patton as his manager. He says he "retired her" to be a full time grandmother. When reporters asked his mom's people about it, they said, and I quote, "Are you kidding me?" Jonetta just started JPat Records and managers three acts including Usher's little brother, James "JLack" Lackey, an award-winning producer with a world wide publishing deal with EMI.
