Feburary '07 Charles Barkley, after losing 2.5 million dollars in a six hour period, told reporters, "It's a stupid, bad habit. I have a problem. But the problem is when you can't afford it. I can afford to gamble. I didn't kill myself when I lost two and half million dollars … I like to gamble and I'm not going to quit." Ok, well how come he owes The Wynn hotel and casino $400,000.00 in unpaid gambling debts? The situation got so bad The Wynn filed suit against Charles and the Clark County DA says if Barkley doesn't pay up, he could be charged with a felony. After the story hit the national media outlets, Charles responded by saying, "My mistake. I'm not broke, and I'm going to take care of it."
