Fabolous Placed At Club

A club promoter said he saw rapper Fabolous at the Manhattan hot spot Duvet the night a 25-year-old man was stabbed to death there...
"Fabolous was there. He came in with about a dozen people between midnight and 12:30 a.m.," said Andre Faria, whose company, Party Time NYC, provides promotions for the club. "He brought the guy who was murdered with him, as part of his crew." Faria said Fabolous left about 2 a.m. Friday, before the stabbing, saying he had a family obligation. Fabolous was giving security a hard time because they were frisking everyone, including the women with him, Faria said. At first, security wasn't going to allow the group in because they weren't "dressed to impress, like the place wants," Faria said. They were instead wearing baggy jeans and sneakers. Sometime after Fabolous left, two women who were part of his crew got into a fight. Faria said witnesses told him that McKinney was stabbed trying to break up the fight. Faria said his company had invited Fabolous to the club.
