A couple of weeks ago the Tupac statue in the Peace garden at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation in Georgia was defaced. People immediately assumed it was a hate crime because the statue had what appeared to be a noose around its neck, was plastered with racsist notes and had a pair of draws strewn across its head. The night after the inital vandalism, the guy came back to do more damage and was caught by security. The dude they arrested turned out to be black, drunk and rambling about how he wanted to talk to Tupac. Anyway, the dude, 43-year-old Kenneth Anthony Wilson, was charged Thursday (November 1) with second-degree criminal damage to property, a felony. He is currently being held at the DeKalb County jail under a $1,500 bond.

HOW IN THE HELL DID HE HAD TIME TO DO ALLLLLLL OF THAT??? Sounds like security was hired after the fact because I can not imagine someone "crazy" doing this in a few minutes. They could've done better hiring the nosy lil' ole Pearl across the street to keep an eye out.

A Tupac statue...?!? Hey, I loved 'Pac, too, but a statue? C'mon, Y'all...But then who am I to question, there a big, black fist statue in what could be seen as the town square where I'm from. I know it's a replica of the fist of boxing great Joe Louis who hails from here, but a comedian who visited our town once saw it and thought it meant, "Welcome to Detroit...We'll beat yo' azz!" So who's to say...
Why am I not surprised? I bet if you did more research into more of these so called incidents involving a noose, you'll find either a shiftless Negro behind the wheel or some kind of copycat.
On another note, ya'll are right, that statue ain't look nothing like Pac. In the sculptor's defense, he prolly had a small budget to work with, plus bronze is a hard medium to work in.
Lastly, if old boy wanted to talk to Pac, why didn't he just drive down to Cuba like the rest of us?

Denver, I don't mind Tupac having a statue. The man is a hip hop icon. He was very talented and his music (pre-Death Row) was something to really think on.
However, I do have a major problem with a statue of Tupac looking like Dave Chappelle on Meth.
Tupac was a rapper. Then he dies and they put up a statue of him in a suit.
